We held the 4th meeting of 2026 of the SPE Technical Committee on RD&I Brazil, this time at the office of Equinor, in Rio de Janeiro.

The meeting was another opportunity to strengthen integration among the Committee members, share strategic initiatives, and discuss actions that contribute to the advancement of research, development, and innovation in the oil, gas, and energy sector in Brazil.

We would like to express our sincere thanks to the Equinor team, especially to our member Adriano Motta for the excellent reception, organization, and hospitality, which were fundamental to the success of this meeting.

We also thank all the representatives of the companies and institutions that participated in the meeting (Shell, TotalEnergies, Galp Brasil, Aquila Engineering, Repsol Sinopec Brasil, PETRONAS and Ocyan).

The commitment and collaboration of each member are essential for us to build an innovation ecosystem that is increasingly connected, collaborative, and capable of generating impact for the industry.
We continue together promoting integration among companies, industry, universities, research centers, and other actors in the RD&I ecosystem, strengthening innovation and the competitiveness of the Brazilian energy sector.
