The member of the Research, Development and Innovation (RD&I) Technical Committee of the SPE Macaé Section, Luis Pires, participated in a meeting promoted by the IBP – Brazilian Institute of Petroleum, Gas and Biofuels, which brought together a delegation composed of 22 professionals from China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC International) and China University of Petroleum (Beijing).

The technical mission aimed to promote knowledge exchange and strengthen international cooperation for the advancement of offshore operational development in deep waters.

The participation of one of the Committee members reinforces the importance of collaboration among professionals, companies, and research institutions to drive innovation and technological development in the oil, gas, and energy sector — a purpose that also inspires NovaTec 2026, the main annual technical symposium promoted by the RD&I Technical Committee of the SPE Macaé Section.
