I lead the Research and Development area at PRIO, where I have been working for over six years. I believe technological development is a pragmatic tool to make corporations increasingly efficient. These values are closely aligned with PRIO’s vision, where we approach Research, Development and Innovation in the same way we approach our Operations: with nonconformity and boldness, strong technical rigor, and a constant drive to do things differently.
I began my career as an offshore trainee, working across the Operations and Maintenance area (two years) and the Reservoirs area (also two years), with a strong focus on innovative topics such as Enhanced Oil Recovery, which was the subject of my Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering at UFRJ, where I also completed my undergraduate studies. With this cross-functional perspective on operational challenges, I enthusiastically took on the challenge of building and strengthening the Research, Development and Innovation environment at PRIO.
